Meet the Founders...
Hi, I’m Isha. I’ve always felt that the water calls to me—so much so that I recently dove headfirst into learning how to swim to finally answer that call. But as I spent more time by the water, I realized something was missing: high-quality, high-comfort swimwear that didn’t break the bank.
Born in 2026 in the heart of Surat, Gujarat, Baking Bread is more than just a brand; it’s a labor of love. I started this journey with my partner and co-founder (we’ve been side-by-side for a decade now!), but the real "CEO" of my heart is Phoebe, my beautiful Beagle.
While Baking Bread is my second baby, Phoebe is my first, and she is the singular inspiration behind everything I do. Every stitch and every design is fueled by the goal of building a better life for her—and bringing a better beach experience to you.
Our ethics
At Baking Bread, we believe it's our (and every brand's) responsibility to lessen our environmental impact and treat our planet kinder. That's why we make every swimsuit from discarded fishing nets and other waste that's rescued from the sea saving sea life.
We don’t believe in mass-produced, stale fashion. Every collection is "small-batch," designed to hug your curves and withstand the salt, sand, and heat. We’re here for the early risers, the sun-soakers, and everyone who knows that life is simply better when it’s toasted.
We want you to feel as good as a warm loaf smells. To keep our quality high and our carbon footprint low, we operate with a focused inventory.
Our Fabrics
Groups of volunteer divers find and rescue discarded fishing nets in the sea, some of which are caught on sealife. These nylon fishing nets are regenerated together with other nylon waste by Aquafil into ECONYL® yarn. This is then produced with lycra into our swimwear fabric. This is one way we are able to help clean the oceans and save marine life.
The shells you see are real—handpicked, shaped by nature, and refined over hours. It takes hours to cut, smooth, and prepare each one. Then, they are sorted, matched, and placed with intention.
- No two are ever the same.
And that’s exactly how it should be.
As Unique as YOU!
